Drop rates don't vary from boss to boss. They are simply extraordinarily low, and on top of that, you may have a streak of bad luck as well.
Exuro, Skybringer, Lian, Flint Touchstone, Zarnas Stonewrath, Elsnil Frigidheart - they're all good and easy candidates. Should you not get the tome, consider selling their greens until you have the 8 or 9k required to buy one from someone else

tome sr really rare indeed usually averaging 0-1 in 1 hour, not worth the time farming for mass tomes like that

The elite tome drop rate is somewhere around 2-3%, so in average you might get one per every 50 rounds. Since an elite ele tome can be bought for 7-8k, your farming run cycle must take less than one minute, end to end, for it to be feasible.
And Byzzr is a monk.

this is a common mistake ppl do :
if u have a 2% chance to get smth, doing it 50 times will not guarantee you get it. each try is independent from the other, so the 1000th time you try your chance of getting it is still 2%.

Um ... reading comprehension FTW? I said in average, i.e., over a long enough series of attempts the ratio (# of tries) / (# of successful tries) will asymptotically approach something around 50. I do have an advanced university degree in math ...
Edit: the expectation value and variance of the probability distribution for N tries can be expressed as N * p and N * (1-p) * p, respectively, where p is the drop probability (as mentioned, around 0.025), which will help you in estimating what is a 'long enough' series.

then tell ppl u get 1 in 50 tries ONLY AFTER an infinite number of tries... cause not all have that degree...
back on topic : just keep trying the easiest farms, solo, and u'll get the tome eventually. harder farms don't increase your chances so stick to the close/easy bosses.
